This website is dedicated to those who live through domestic violence issues or have in the past. This is my way of paying it forward and raising awareness for Domestic Violence Prevention each October. Please note that all of my proceeds will be donated to Empowerhouse for giving me the opportunity to return to the place
I fled over five years ago for the well-being of my 12-year-old son.

Empowerhouse has afforded me the pleasure knowing that issues regarding domestic violence are being addressed now. This makes me happy to know that change is happening as we speak for the victims of domestic violence in King George County, Virginia. A domestic violence vigil held on October 27th at 6:30 pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church featured county representatives that serve this population of the county as well as those who have lived through domestic violence. I was fortunate enough to be invited to speak. It was the most EMPOWERING thing I had every done in my entire life. I wish I could go all around the world and have repeats of that night. Someone would only have to ask me once - I would say "yes" immediately.

This speech was the first time I had spoken about my situation in public. I have been raising awareness about domestic violence for years but have never had the opportunity to speak in front of a crowd of people. I was excited, happy and scared all at the same time. I have other sites and creative outlets where I also sell online - digital art that has become a hobby I picked up since starting my life in 2010. All of my proceeds will be donated to Empowerhouse for the challenge they face for residents in King George County and any/all other agencies and volunteers that helped put this vigil together.
